I explored the geography of some of the towns mentioned in a privately printed Klas Family History prepared by Francis Klas in 1968. He lists himself as the son of Francis Klas, Hradec Kralove, grandson of Francis Klas, Kolin on Labe, great-grandson of Inocenc Klas of Horazdovice and great great-grandson of John Klas, master builder also of Horazdovice Nr. 44.

The family notes say that the author, Francis Klas, born in 1911 had a son Paul, born in 1939. I am hoping to establish contact with the branch of the Klas family that exists in the Czech Republic. Paul Klas family may live in Praha.

Genealogy Research

I'm using this area to keep a record of current searches and a summary of results. My grandparents names are: Small, Hoover, Klas (or Klass), and Mesharer (many spellings on this one).

I plan to keep the four pathways separated, and will post links as soon as I get them created. I hope this information will be useful to others who are interested, and perhaps related!
